Hi! I am Jackie.

For as long as I can remember I’ve loved homes, real estate, and design. I love the way color, texture, pattern, lighting, and the things we already own can come together to completely change the way a space feels.

Because to me, a home has never just been about how it looks.

It’s about the life that happens inside of it.

For nearly a decade, I also carried another dream: to build a business of my own. But as my life grew—marriage, motherhood, and eventually three small children—I became increasingly aware of the way we often talk about ambition and entrepreneurship.

Build the business now. Sacrifice for a season. Give everything you have to get it off the ground, and hope there will be time for everything else later.

I knew I wanted something different.

I want a front row seat to my own life.

Shortly after having my first child, I found myself longing for two things that initially seemed at odds with one another: more time with him and more autonomy and purpose in my work.

Motherhood didn’t make me want to give up the dreams I had for myself. If anything, it clarified them.

Today, as a mom of three small children, I’m finally building the business I’ve envisioned for years—and I’m doing it with the belief that I don’t have to sacrifice my presence in their lives to do it.

I want meaningful work that uses the gifts God gave me. I want to create something I’m proud of. I want genuine connection with the people I meet along the way.

And I want to be fully present and engaged with the three little people growing up in front of me.

I want a front row seat to my life and theirs, sacrificing neither.

That belief is woven into The Home Design Co.

Beautiful homes are meant to be lived in.

I don’t believe beautiful design and real life should be at odds with one another.

Your home doesn’t need to be perfect. It doesn’t need to look like everyone else’s. And creating something beautiful doesn’t always mean starting over.

Sometimes it means choosing the right paint color. Sometimes it means rearranging what you already own so a room finally works. Sometimes it means preparing your home to sell to move onto to another dream or vision.

My work is about seeing the potential that’s already there and helping bring it forward.

The Home Design Co. is about design, connection, people, and the God who created all of it.
